Where can you find the serial number and hull number (WIN/HIN number) of your Zodiac or Bombard boat?
To place an order, request parts, or submit a service request, it is important that you provide us with both the serial number and the hull number (WIN/HIN number) of your Zodiac or Bombard boat.
These numbers are unique to your boat and ensure that we can always supply the correct parts or information.
You can easily find this information yourself on the standard factory plates that are attached to every Zodiac and Bombard boat.
Where is the serial number located?
The serial number of your Zodiac or Bombard boat is located on the aluminum manufacturer's plate on the inside of the transom (engine plate).
You will find this picture:
- On the inside of the boat's transom
- Often near the engine mount
- On the larger RIBs it may be attached to the driver's bench.
- On a square or rectangular aluminum plate with model and production data
The serial number usually consists of a combination of letters and numbers, specific to this model.
Where is the hull number (WIN/HIN number)?
The hull number , also called WIN number (Watercraft Identification Number) or HIN number (Hull Identification Number), is located on an elongated aluminum plate on the outside of the transom .
You will find this picture:
- On the outside of the transom, usually on the right (starboard side)
- On a horizontal aluminum plate with a series of 12 to 14 characters
The WIN/HIN number is a unique identification number used internationally for registration, insurance and warranty purposes.
